“Thanks to everyone who supported,” he wrote.

He then added, “You guys are crazy, can we take this upstairs?” – referring to the national charts where it currently sits at number four.

His father Peter, 49, was delighted by the news, writing on his social media: “What a start. Wow son,” while his mum Katie Price gushed that she was “so proud” of her boy.

It comes after Junior celebrated the release of his new single Slide on Wednesday by taking the stage to perform it for the first time.

The star marked the start of the song with a celebratory party attended by his family, although his mother Katie was noticeably absent.

His sister Princess took to Instagram Stories to catch a glimpse of the party and gushed that she was “so proud” of her sister for finally releasing his new song, while Junior’s dad Peter also shared a clip, in which he proudly hugged his son at the party.

Princess posted a clip of Junior taking to the stage to perform Slide along with the effusive caption, “So proud @officialjunior_andre.”

Wearing a matching red tracksuit, the teenager was surrounded by adoring fans as he performed the energetic track.

Meanwhile, Junior’s proud dad Peter also gave an insight into the launch party, reminiscing about his own pop star past as his son signed posters for his fans.

Sharing a clip of the autograph session on his grid, he wrote: “30 years ago I did my first poster autographs.

“And now my son is busy at work. As for the girls… @officialjunior_andre @officialprincess_andre @dr_emily_official.’

Peter then shared a series of videos from Junior’s launch party, including a clip of him posing for selfies with adoring fans.

Another video showed Junior hugging his proud dad, captioned: “You have no idea how proud I am of you tonight son.”

Alongside a video of Junior performing his song, he added: “Born to do it.”

As well as launching his music career, Junior became a worldwide sensation after visiting Binley Mega Chippy and filming a TikTok video outside.

The Coventry crisp shop has been inundated with tourists from Portugal and Australia after a catchy music video was posted on TikTok.

And Junior was caught up in the fanfare after filming himself outside showing a line of customers queuing out of the store.

Binley Mega Chippy is attracting thousands of customers from across the UK and around the world after a fan gushed about it on social media.

Owner Kamal Gandhi, 70, has now seen profits skyrocket by a whopping 30 per cent, with regular queues of fans seen outside.

Junior was spotted performing his new song Slide in front of the now famous Chippy.

The video then switched to Junior standing in front of the fish and chips vendor while the words “Binley Mega Chippy” played over some plinky plonk music.

Junior is following in his father’s footsteps as he embarks on a career in the music industry and Peter recently announced that he is managing his son.

In April, he appeared virtually on Wednesday in Lorraine and told host Christine Lampard that he was “proud but also scared” for his would-be musician son.

During the chat, Peter explained, “I took him to the studio and he came into the booth and everyone was like ‘Oh!’. And I said, “Look, let’s focus on him now.”

Peter revealed he’s his manager in a way but wants to make sure he has the freedom to do his own thing, saying: “I manage him in the sense that I’m with him all the way. We want to give him artistic freedom.”

The father of four performed at Australia’s New Faces singing competition when he was 16 and rose to fame with his singles Mysterious Girl and Flava.
