A 17-year-old young man was seriously injured after a road trip early Saturday morning in the Saint-Raymond sector west of Quebec.

The swerve occurred around 3:30 a.m. near 992 Grand Rang. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver lost control of his vehicle before crashing violently into a roadside tree.
The victim was transported to a hospital center where we initially feared for his life. A few hours later, however, his condition stabilized, explains Catherine Bernard, spokeswoman for the SQ.
A security perimeter has been established to allow investigators and technicians at the scene of the accident to shed light on this accident.
Traffic alternated on the artery for a few hours.
