The owner of a mobile hospital in a war zone in eastern Ukraine told a Ukrainian TV correspondent that he had instructed his doctors to “castrate” captured Russian soldiers.

Gennadiy Druzenko, 49, told Ukraine 24 about his alleged order, but it is not clear whether it was bravado or a real order that violated the Geneva Conventions.

Speaking about the captured wounded Russian soldiers, Druzenko said: “I have always been a great humanist and said that if a person is wounded, he is no longer an enemy, but a sick one.

‘But now [I gave] very strict order to castrate everyone [captured Russian] men because they are cockroaches, not people.”

‘Those who [come here] remember their nightmare on Ukrainian soil.

How the Germans remember Stalingrad.
