Zooey Deschanel is thankful her kids have “two great boys” in her life as she shares her sweet Father’s Day tribute showcasing her blended family
Zooey Deschanel shared a sweet Father’s Day tribute in honor of her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik and boyfriend Jonathan Scott on Sunday.
The 42-year-old actress, who shares two children with Pechenik, posted an adorable snap of Scott, 44, and Pechenik, 50, standing side-by-side with the couple’s children, Charlie Wolf, five, and Elsie Otter, six, on the Her shoulders squatted.
“So thankful my kids have these two amazing guys in their lives: @jonathanscott and their dad @jacobpechenik,” she captioned the photo of her blended family.

Photo shows the two men relaxing outside, with the Property Brothers star holding Elsie on his shoulders while Pechenik holds his son Charlie.
The two even wore matching outfits, with both men wearing shorts and t-shirts for the day.
Pechenik seemed touched by the gesture, captioning the photo, “It’s my absolute greatest privilege.”

The 500 Days of Summer star and her boyfriend have been dating since August 2019.
They had a fateful first meeting when she met him in a sibling episode of Carpool Karaoke, which also starred his brother Drew and their older sister Emily Deschanel.
Deschanel gushed about her partner sharing similar values to hers in another Instagram post in April, where she praised his love of the outdoors.

“I’m fortunate to have found a man who values protecting our planet as much as I do,” she wrote under a photo of them with a stunning view of the mountains in the background.
Deschanel and Pechenik welcomed their children, Elsie and Charlie, in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
The former couple were married for almost four years before finalizing their divorce two years ago in June 2020.

Deschanel was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, although their marriage only lasted from 2009 to 2012.
