Taya Valkyrie has been on the road to success since leaving NXT. Taya reclaimed the AAA Reina de Reina Championship from Deonna Purrazzo, then won the inaugural MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship against Holidead. Her golden streak continued at Impact Slammiversary.
Taya reunited with Rosemary to fight for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne. Ragnarok was back together in a big way. Taya even wore her signature earmuffs for the occasion. Taya and Rosemary were of the same mind all along, although Rosemary had reservations about trusting the woman who tried to murder her virgin fiancé.
Taya started strong with a sliding German suplex. She later sped around the hot day with a spinning Blue Thunder Bomb.
Rosemary followed with an exploder suplex. Rosemary eyed Rayne for a spear, but Dashwood stopped to attack Rosemary and save her partner. Ragnarok rallied with a double reverse Irish whip to snap the influencers into each other. Taya and Rosemary continued to press with double spears for double pins, resulting in a double kick out by the influencer.
Rayne scratched Taya’s eyes and pushed Rosemary into her. Dashwood hits a neckbreaker on Taya through the ropes. The Influence nailed their double side leg sweep finisher, driving Rosemary’s face down to the mat. Rosemary rose using her Demon Assassin powers to startle Rayne and suffer a pop-up knee kick from Taya. Rosemary seized the moment for a butterfly buttbuster to win.
Taya and Rosemary are the new Knockouts Tag Champions.
Taya now carries three championships in her possession. The world is at her feet. What’s next for La Wera Loca?
