Allies of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny have shared a video of luxury assets in Europe they claim are the property of Vladimir Putin and his family.
Chief among the proposed assets is a $700 million superyacht whose owner is not publicly identified, which is 140 meters long, complete with luxury features including two heliports.
The six-deck yacht Scheherazade contains the equivalent of two apartment buildings, a spa and a beauty salon, and is currently moored in the port of Marina di Carrara off Italy’s west coast.
A sensational piece published on Navalny’s Youtube channel by hosts Georgy Alburov and Maria Pevchikh shows that the captain of the ship is British, while the rest of the crew are allegedly from the FSO and the FSB, two Russian special services.
Putin has personal sanctions against him from the European Union, which means that the yacht – if it is confirmed that it belongs to him – can be confiscated by the authorities.
The source said: “Perhaps Navalny’s team was assisted by Western intelligence in uncovering this revelation.”
“The yacht was hidden from [Putin’s] people, and suggests that he is indeed the richest man in the world, as his critics claim.”

Putin has been a vocal critic of Russians who prefer to live elsewhere in the West.
The yacht is considered the 13th largest in the world.
Earlier today, the same team showed Putin’s £1 billion Black Sea palace.
Tomorrow, 45-year-old anti-corruption activist Navalny is due to face his next sentence, which could see him locked up until almost 60 years old.
Elsewhere in the same video, Ludmila, the president’s ex-wife, is allegedly building a luxurious villa in Biarritz, southwestern France, a city known as a haven for wealthy playboys.
And his daughter, Katerina Tikhonova, 35, is said to own a castle on the French Atlantic coast that was recently broken into by protesters.
The castle on the French Atlantic coast allegedly belongs to Putin’s 35-year-old daughter Katerina Tikhonova.
Putin’s ex-wife, Lyudmila, is building an exquisite villa in Biarritz, southwest France, according to hosts.
Beautiful Features of a $700 Million Yacht
The cost of the Scheherazade yacht is estimated at 75 billion rubles, and its length is 140 meters, which makes it the 13th largest superyacht in the world.
It has six deck floors, the equivalent of two apartment buildings.
Other features include:
Two helipads
Swimming pool
spa complex
beauty saloon
Huge living rooms
Royal cabins
Pevchikh said: “If a person falls under personal sanctions, like Putin, this means that any of his property found in the European Union is automatically frozen.
“Houses, planes, helicopters, yachts, everything must be confiscated immediately.”
Previously, Putin has criticized Russians living in the West as “ready to sell their own mother,” “national traitors” who want to belong to “the so-called upper caste.”
Although the owner of the Scheherazade has not been publicly identified, a number of the ship’s employees have personal ties to Putin, the hosts say.
“Putin’s previous yacht worth 10 billion rubles is graceful,” they said.
“After buying Scheherazade, Graceful was re-registered to Putin’s friend Gennady Timchenko.”
In February, Graceful was seen ‘escaping’ from a shipyard in Germany, sparking speculation that she was trying to avoid arrest due to tough sanctions ahead of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The £73.2 million pleasure craft, named Graceful, was originally built at Sevmash in Russia, with interiors and exteriors designed by H2 Yacht Design, and was transported to Germany for modification.
The interior includes glossy smooth surfaces, soft plush sofas and chaise longues, and a luxurious white marble bathroom.
What appears to be an office space contains plenty of book shelves and a writing desk with a stunning painting of a sailing boat.
Gym equipment can also be seen on the deck, which is also lined with lounge-style chairs and bar stools.
