Kid Rock says Trump asked for his advice on ISIS and North Korea

Kid Rock said former President Donald Trump asked him for help tweeting about ISIS, questioned the singer about how he would deal with North Korea, and showed him the cards in the Oval Office.

“Sometimes I make dirty notes. What the hell am I doing here?” Kid Rock spoke about the moments I got pinched with the former Commander-in-Chief during an interview that aired Monday night with Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson.

Kid Rock, who arrived for an interview with Carlson in a Let’s Go Brandon Rolls Royce, told the prime-time Fox anchor that he met with Trump in 2017, when the then-president asked former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to “bring some interesting people over for dinner.

“She called me and Ted, Ted Nugent, and I was like, hell yeah. Ended up there. We ended up becoming friends and now spend a lot of time on the golf course,” Kid Rock explained.

“And it’s really strange to get phone calls from him and all that. It’s just mind blowing,” added the country star.

Kid Rock recalled one conversation with Trump when the current ex-president “ended the caliphate,” referring to the Islamic State terrorist group that took over parts of Iraq.

“He wanted to post a tweet. And it was like – I don’t like to talk outside of school, I hope not – but he said something like… and I’ll paraphrase – but it was like, “If you ever join the caliphate, and trying to do that you will die,” the rocker recalled.

Trump asked Kid Rock what he thought of the tweet, Kid Rock said.

I answer: “Cool. Like, yeah, tweet it.” I thought: “I can not add anything better than [that],”‘ he said.

Kid Rock said that when the actual tweet came out, it was “reworded, more political and a little politically correct.”

He also said that he and Trump would be “watching cards and shit.”

“And I’m like – I’m like, ‘Am I supposed to be in this shit?’ Kid Rock said.

A number of questions have been raised about how Trump handled classified documents and materials during and even after his tenure, as the National Archives said last month that he took classified materials with him to Mar-a-Lago after leaving post.

KID ROCK ABOUT POLITICS

The five-time Grammy nominee attended Romeo High School in Michigan.

Has made statements in support of presidents of both parties, including Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.

Told Clinton “damned pimp” for getting away with an affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Supported the war in Iraq

In 2003, The New York Daily News said, “We have to kill that bastard Saddam.” Cut his throat. Kill him and that guy in North Korea.

Campaigned for Mitt Romney in 2012 and endorsed Ben Carson in 2015 before becoming a Trump supporter.

Flirted with running for the U.S. Senate in 2017 against incumbent Michigan Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow.

“What do you think we should do about North Korea?” Kid Rock also said he was asked. ‘I’m like what? I don’t think I have the right to answer this question.

Kid Rock also said that Trump is “a lot of fun” to play golf with.

“He just knows how to have fun. He doesn’t take it too seriously,” the rock star continued. “He is charming. It’s just… it’s just cutting back, just being open with politics.

Kid Rock told Carlson that “it was a little different there” after the election, adding that Trump seemed “great” after losing the 2020 race, which he refused to give up to current President Joe Biden.

“He’s still the same guy. He sits down, he just cuts it. He just starts cutting it. It’s unbelievable how perceptive he is,” he said. “And you can see now, if you watch Joe Biden interviews and you watch Trump interviews, you just don’t have anything to compare to.”

He said that since Trump “speaks spontaneously … sometimes you get it wrong.”

“But I would rather hear someone come in from here and get it wrong from time to time than see how far-fetched it is – almost every politician, until he appeared, at some level everything was according to the script,” Kid Rock objected. .

“I stood next to him at the White House and right next to him with notes prepared and watched him read one sentence and then just went. And you’re like that, it’s cool,” Kid Rock added.

Kid Rock also reported that there are far more Trump supporters in Hollywood than is commonly believed.

Rocker said the people in Trump’s orbit “were calling people from Hollywood.”

“And they kept saying, ‘Yes, they’re in the closet.’ And I’m like, “Are these people all gay? This is madness”. And they’re like, “No, no, no, they’re secret Trump fans.” I’m like, oh man… that was mind blowing,” Kid Rock said.

“Like, I’m not going to talk about these people outside of school. They obviously don’t want to talk about it openly for some reason. But yes, there are a ton of them. They have no idea,” added the musician.
