Havana, March 22 (RHC) The Studies Institute for Development and Peace (Indepaz) has denounced in Bogotá the murder of Domingo Mancilla Cundumi, who signed the Peace Agreement for Colombia, the tenth assassination attempt in 2022 and the 309th since the signing of the document, in 2016.
Mancilla Cundumi, 37, was attacked with a gun on Sunday evening in the village of Temuey in the Bonanza sector of the municipality of Guapi in the department of Cauca. He died from the gunshots at the local hospital, where he was taken due to the seriousness of his injuries.
In a message published on his social network account Twitter, Indepaz explained that the young man carried out his reintegration process in the Territorial Spaces for Training and Reintegration (ECTR) Aldemar. He was a member of the Association of Balsiteños for Peace (Asobalsitas).
The Comunes party also denounced the murder by posting it on the same platform.
In a statement, the organization highlighted that this killing comes on top of acts of violence against peace signers and their organizational forms, which have worsened in various regions of Colombia. (Source: Telesur)
