Nestlé does not leave Russia, Anonymous strikes again: 10 GB of data released with company email and password

Anonymous has released at least 10 gigabytes of data from the Nestlé group: private information such as emails, passwords and details of corporate customers has been made public by the hacker collective, who decided to punish the Swiss multinational for its decision to stay in Russia and claimed its Action on Twitter. Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food companies, had received a sort of ultimatum from Anonymous, which had given 48 hours to shut down all still operating companies in Russia. Also accused by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the occasion of the intervention at the Bern demonstration, Nestlé had tried to defend itself until Monday, March 21st, declaring that from the remaining activities in Russia: “We are not making any profits”. The Nestlé spokesman then added: “We are doing everything we can in Ukraine and neighboring countries to help alleviate this humanitarian catastrophe. We are still one of the few active food companies in Ukraine and sometimes we even manage to distribute food in Kharkiv.

It’s just the latest cyber attack by the collective that openly declared war on Putin after his decision to invade Ukraine. One of Anonymous’ first actions hit Russian gas and oil companies on February 28 and blocked their sites. Then came the dissemination of 40,000 documents attributed to the Moscow Nuclear Safety Institute and the personal data of 120,000 Russian soldiers in Ukraine. The hackers had also begun broadcasting messages to residents of Russia, bypassing central government censorship, updating them on the progress of the conflict in Ukraine and warning them: “This is not your war, it’s your government’s.”
