Shortly after, Reed confirmed his plans for the future on Twitter.

Reed started in all 17 games in his only season in Kansas City, throwing 43 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 12 QBs. In three 2021 postseason games, Reid recorded 13 combined tackles, one sack and one QB hit. Reed is looking to start defensively with Dean Lowry and Kenny Clarke at center.

Reid was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft from Alabama.
