Justin Bieber files a motion to dismiss a libel suit against two women who accuse him of sexual harassment.
Justin Bieber is hoping to put some legal drama behind him by filing a motion to dismiss a defamation lawsuit filed against two women who accused him of sexual assault.
In 2020, the 28-year-old singer was accused by two anonymous women, identified on social media as “Daniel” and “Kadi” or “Khadija”, of sexual assault in two separate incidents in 2014 and 2015.
The singer responded by calling the claims “outrageous lies” and “virtually impossible”, as well as filing a defamation lawsuit seeking $20 million in damages, which he is now trying to dismiss via TMZ.

Sources close to the singer say he decided to close the case “because he felt he had made his point and wanted to move on.”
Danielle was the first to take a stand against the singer in June 2020, claiming on social media that she was inspired by another Twitter user, “itsgabby”, who had accused Ansel Elgort of sexual assault a week earlier.
Danielle claimed that Bieber raped her at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas during the 2014 SXSW music festival.
Moving on: Sources close to the singer claim he decided to close the case “because he felt he had made his point and wanted to move on.”
Kadi/Khadija was reportedly inspired by Danielle and submitted her May 2015 account where she claimed Bieber raped her at the Langham Hotel in New York after the Met Gala at around 2:30am.
Bieber filed a defamation lawsuit shortly after the allegations, claiming he could prove that none of these incidents took place.
Bieber said in the defamation lawsuit that he was never at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin that night.

He claimed that after his performance at SXSW, he left the venue with his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez and they both went to a rental property where they were staying close to the venue.
Bieber also stated in the defamation lawsuit that Kadi is a “superfan” who has been waiting for him outside hotels and is desperate to meet him and become famous.
The singer claims that Cudi never met him and even pointed to tweets she made in which she said she never met him that were after the date she claims he raped her.

He claimed that Cudi fabricated the May 2015 date because she knew he was attending the Met Gala at the time.
While Bieber did attend the Met Gala, the libel suit alleged that he then attended a private party, where he stayed until 4 a.m. before heading to a hot dog stand.
Bieber claims there is photographic evidence and witnesses to back it up, calling Kadi’s claim “impossible – a bad but devastating fabrication”.
