75% of swing voters say Democrats are “out of touch” and “indulgent” and two-thirds say they spend too much money in DC, according to a new Republican poll showing the GOP is winning the midterms.

A House Republican campaign poll found that 75 percent of battlefield voters thought Democrats were “out of touch” and “lenient.”
In addition, 67% said Congressional Democrat spending was “out of control.”
In a new Congressional Republican National Committee poll, voters from 77 congressional swing districts were polled, in which President Joe Biden scored an average of 5.5 points.
Republicans now lead the overall vote in those districts by 4 points — and have seen a 7-point improvement since February 2021, according to the NRCC.
At the same time, Biden’s numbers continue to fall.
“The latest NRCC battlefield survey confirms that Joe Biden and the Democrats are facing an increasingly complex political environment,” the NRCC memo said. “Voters on the battlefield continue to blame Democrats for the negative impact of record high inflation, rising crime and the crisis on our southern border on their lives.”

Biden has a 40% approval rating in these key constituencies, with another 55% saying they disapprove of the Democratic president.
There is also a large gap in enthusiasm, with 45% saying they “strongly” disapprove and only 17% say they “strongly” approve.
The state of the economy appears poised to rob the Democrats of their chances of maintaining a majority in the House of Representatives.
Overall, 46 percent of battlefield voters said their biggest concern was economics, with 26 percent citing inflation and the cost of living, and another 15 percent saying it was jobs and the economy.
The NRCC said Republicans had a 24-point lead in the poll among Americans who said they were worried about the cost of living.
Among Americans who said they were most concerned about jobs and the economy, Republicans led Democrats by 20 points.
Fifty-two percent of battlefield voters blamed the Biden administration and Congressional Democrats for high gas prices.
Of these rising prices, 56% cited gas as the biggest hurdle for their families, while 41% cited it as rising food prices.

Biden pointed to a number of pre-existing leasing companies that could use more gas to produce, criticizing them for favoring share buybacks over increasing production.
Another 31% of battlefield voters believe high gas prices are linked to the ongoing war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russian oil.
The poll was conducted March 12-16 among registered likely voters from 77 congressional swing districts and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
