The 41-year-old dressed completely as a cowboy version of Ken for a high-energy scene, clenching his fists once and gritting his teeth.

His sculpted features appeared to have been enhanced with makeup to emphasize the movie star’s resemblance to a doll.

Although he was modeling a large beige cowboy hat, his platinum blonde character hair was clearly visible.

Ryan filmed his latest scene on Los Angeles Beach, right in the shadow of the city’s famous Santa Monica Pier.

He was spotted in the same Cowboy Ken outfit a week earlier while filming a scene with Margot in Los Angeles.

Ryan’s latest sighting comes after his wife, Eva Mendes, told him she asked him to bring his Ken underwear home – and he agreed.

Social media went wild when Ryan emerged as Ken in a first look picture, showing off his chiseled torso in an open denim vest.

His jeans ripped down to reveal an underwear waistband with ‘KEN’ written across it, in a parody of Calvin Klein underwear.

Eva called the look “hysterical” on E!’s Nightly Pop, while admitting that the “little 14-year-old in me” secretly fainted.

“I actually have these underwear – the Ken underwear. I asked for it,” she spilled. ‘I just said, ‘Please just bring the Ken underwear home. This is all I want.’

Seeing her husband as Ken was definitely my teenage dream. It’s so funny because it’s like he’s playing a character. He’s not playing a real person, he’s playing a puppet.”

He was roundly mocked on social media for the first look pic, with one person wondering, “How did they manage not to piss off Ryan Gosling?”

A chorus of social media users applied the word “terrifying” to the look, with other adjectives including “terrible.”

However, Eva jumped to his defense on The Talk, saying: “People know he’s not playing a real person, right? He’s playing the wrong person.’

She also talked about asking for the Ken underwear, cheekily spilling on the daytime chat show, “I’m wearing them right now.”

Greta Gerwig is directing the upcoming Barbie movie, having co-written the screenplay with her husband, acclaimed filmmaker Noah Baumbach.
