HAVANA, June 29 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez met with his Tanzanian counterpart Liberata Mulamula this Wednesday in Dar es Salaam as part of his working visit to the African nation.
Both parties stressed their common interest in further strengthening high-level political dialogue.
“We shared opportunities to expand areas of collaboration in health, agriculture, and human resources education,” Rodríguez reported on his Twitter account.
The Cubaminrex website reports that the Cuban Foreign Minister thanked the United Republic of Tanzania for its solidarity and reaffirmed our country’s commitment to support African causes.
After attending the first meeting of the States Parties to the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty in Austria, the Minister paid official visits to Equatorial Guinea, Uganda and Ethiopia.
During his visit to these nations, Rodríguez spoke to several diplomats and government officials about strengthening bilateral ties with the island, based on historic ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
The Cuban Foreign Minister will stay in Tanzania for two days, concluding the tour in Nairobi, Kenya, where he will continue the government’s tremendous efforts to free Landy Rodríguez and Assel Herrera, the Cuban doctors kidnapped on that territory’s border with Somalia. since April 2019. .
