He wore a silk blue button-down shirt, a round-ring choker, and several colorful rings. It was surrounded by pink, sequined roses, and a white lattice panel was propped up behind it.

Interior images show the rapper-turned-rocker in striking poses at the iconic Pink Palace in Northridge, California, which is described as a “luxurious, sassy, mid-century pink contemporary villa.”

The MGK was photographed by Miley Cyrus photographer Vijat Mohindra and styled by Adam Ballheim.

He credits his 2020 record Tickets To My Downfall, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, single-handedly “opened the way for people to make money” in rock.

‘[Rock] I needed a defibrillator. Who cares who gives them as long as the bastard doesn’t die?” the rocker said, and Billboard added on the cover that he “came to the rescue” for the genre.

MGK has also been candid about his upbringing and has always felt that he was “just banished from birth” due to factors outside of his control.

“I was always too tall for the kids in my school, or I didn’t have enough money to buy clothes that other kids had—it was always something.

The Billboard cover reveal came amid a backlash online over two newly-surfaced clips of Machine Gun Kelly making a slew of offensive remarks about women and girls.

In a clip of a 2013 interview, the musician offered a blunt defense of legal rape, citing his love for the then-underage Kendall Jenner.

After revealing that the model was his celebrity, MGK dismissed any suggestion that he would have to wait until she was 18 to pursue her, insisting that the age limit did not apply to the model because she was famous.

“I’m not waiting until she’s 18, I’m going now,” he says in the video. “I’m 23, dog. I’m not at a terrible age. I’m 23, she’s 17, and I’m sort of a celebrity. There are no restrictions here.”

He then attempted to further substantiate his claims by pointing to other musicians who dated underage girls, giving several examples as part of his crude logic.

“Robert Plant, who was one of Led Zeppelin’s greatest vocalists, dated a 14-year-old girl, Axl Rose is one of the biggest bad asses ever dated a 16-year-old girl,” he says.

“He wrote a song for his first album about a girl who was 16. Whatever you say, if Kendall Jenner is naked in your bedroom and you’re 50, you’re leaving.”

The video was posted by Canadian singer Alice Glass, who wrote along with the clip: “In this clip, MGK blurts out an excuse for statutory rape that is tantamount to ‘it’s okay because other famous men do it.’

“Looks like he spent a lot of time thinking about it. quickly rattled off a list of examples encouraging predatory behavior towards underage girls.”

To make matters worse for the musician, Glass also posted another old clip of the singer in which he insulted black women and oral sex.

In a video that was filmed in 2012, MGK states that “black girls give the best sex” before calling an off-screen woman a “bitch” after she left because of his comments.

He says in full, “That’s what it is, you give the best dick or you say you don’t give the dick. But white girls they just fuck. You just have to show your skills because black girls give the best sex.”

He then gets annoyed that the woman standing behind the interviewer walks away from him while he is talking and says, “Fuck, then you’re leaving, you dirty pig, bitch, ugh, with her fake ass.” Louis Vuitton handbag! I’ll take care of this bitch.
