The socalled showcase of world trade continues this Thursday with the opening of Expologística, a parallel event with Expoturismo.
At the head of the organizing committee, Juan José Dutari told Prensa Latina that it is an innovative event and will show that this area is the axis of development of others such as tourism itself and regional and global trade.
More than 50 executives from airport and maritime services, transportation, customs, warehousing, supply chains, shipping companies and ports, among others, he added, will lead a broad exchange also sponsored by the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation.
The second day of these fairs will be complemented by a business conference on humanitarian aid and the national days of Paraguay, Spain, France, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and the Caribbean States, whose delegations will join those of more than 30 participating countries.
The day before, at the opening of Expocomer, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, stressed that holding this meeting in person was a sign of Panama’s economic recovery after two years of the Covid19 pandemic.
We have reasons to be optimistic and reasons to continue to put the interests of the fatherland above all other interests, he noted in his speech.
He also pointed out that the three fairs are further proof of what can be achieved together with the spirit of a nation, no trifles, thinking of the good of the country and alluding to alliances between public and private companies; and the joint work of the executive branch and the productive sector, as indicated.
According to José Ramón Icaza, President of the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIAP) the host institution of the three fairs the Expocomer has become a service platform for business and contributes to the position of the Channel Country as the regional center that it hopes to be.
