Conservative author Jordan Peterson has been suspended from Twitter after sending a tweet about transgender actor Elliot Page violating the platform’s terms, his daughter said.
‘Wow. @jordanbpeterson got a twitter strike. No more Twitter until he deletes the tweet. Definitely not a free speech platform @elonmusk right now,” said Mikhaila Peterson.
The tweet previewed Jordan’s tweet about Page: “The Umbrella Academy actor, who previously went by the name Ellen before announcing his 2020 move.
“Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal doctor,” Jordan wrote.

Conservative political commentator David Rubin commented on the incident on Wednesday.
“The madness continues on Twitter. @jordanbpeterson has been suspended for this tweet about Ellen Page. He just told me he will “never” delete the tweet. Paging @elonmusk.’
Rubin and Mikhaila called on Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who recently bid $44 billion to take over the platform to promote freedom of speech.

Page announced his move in December 2020 in an Instagram post.

This isn’t the first time Jordan has come under fire for controversial tweets.
Jordan briefly left Twitter in May after saying a plus-size Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was “not pretty.”
The cover of the magazine featured Yumi Nu, a 25-year-old curvy model and the first plus-size Asian model to be featured in Sports Illustrated.
‘We’re sorry. Not nice. No amount of authoritarian tolerance will change that,” Jordan wrote.
After receiving backlash, Jordan claimed he deleted Twitter from his devices while keeping his account active. It was the second time he had left the platform.
Before leaving the platform in May, Jordan had compiled a list of controversies dating back to 2016.
