Dancing On Ice’s Matt Richardson has revealed he is suffering from memory loss after being hospitalized with a brain infection.
The 31-year-old TV presenter shared on Instagram that he and his brother were at a concert in Dublin last week, but he doesn’t remember anything after the scary incident.
Matt went into detail, revealing alongside a photo of the boys at the event that he had been suffering from swelling around his brain.

The comedian wrote: “My brother and I watched Green Day in Dublin last week.
“And unfortunately I can’t remember that as I’ve had a nice infection for the last few days which has caused a wonderful swelling around my brain.
Trying to keep the situation positive, he wrote: “After a really cool hospital stay I’m trying to put it all back together. Hopefully the memories come back but if I owe you money I’m sorry you’re on your own x’

Matt starred in the 2021 DOI series as he stepped in as Rufus Hound’s replacement after the comedian tested positive for coronavirus for the second week in a row.
He revealed that being drafted into the show helped save his career after struggling to find work due to the pandemic.
The 29-year-old TV host admitted he was considering a career change and dabbled in teaching ahead of the show.

According to The Mirror, the former Xtra Factor presenter said: “It literally saved my career. I didn’t do anything, really. Before Dancing On Ice, I thought very seriously about a career change.
“I thought maybe if I can’t survive this pandemic, it’s not for me. I have to go and retrain and do something else.
“I’ve had a really tough year, my friend Sam supported both of us financially until this happened. That’s four or five months that I can pay my bills, so that’s amazing.
The star added that he’s thinking about becoming a history teacher and leaving the entertainment world behind.
In 2013 he co-hosted the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor with the late Caroline Flack.
Matt was also a regular on Channel 5’s Big Brother spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
