Kate Moss has been named the new creative director for Diet Coke.

The 48-year-old model will take the helm as the brand celebrates its 40th anniversary and will bring the new Diet Coke Love What You Love campaign to life.

The supermodel was brought on board to bring her “unique aesthetic and style to the brand” after previously being involved with the drink in several fashion collaborations.

“I’m excited to inspire fans”: Kate Moss has been appointed as Diet Coke’s new creative director to bring her fashion expertise to the brand’s new campaign

Speaking of her new role, Kate said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Diet Coke family – I love the past collaborations they’ve had with such incredible names in fashion.

“I was immediately drawn to the Love What You Love campaign as I firmly believe that with confidence and passion you can achieve your wildest dreams.

“As Creative Director, I look forward to inspiring fans and celebrating the brand’s 40th anniversary in style.”

Diet Coke has previously marketed itself in the fashion world, with Karl Lagerfeld designing a bottle in 2012, while Ben Stiller starred in an ad for the drink as dim-witted supermodel Derek Zoolander.

Marc Jacobs was also appointed creative director of the brand in 2013.

Meanwhile, Kate is no stranger to working as the creative director for Japanese beauty brand Decorté.

The new role comes after claims Kate had her eye on another title, OBE, for her services to modeling.

She is said to have hoped to leave her mark on the Queen with her dominating role in the Pageant celebrations as she joined other ’90s icons such as Naomi Campbell and Patsy Kensit on a bus at the parade.

According to The Sun, it’s part of her royal mission for the honor as the publication revealed Kate has quietly told friends she would “absolutely love” to get a nod in the next lap of honor.

And to achieve that, the supermodel has stepped up her charity work and put her stamp on the Queen.

Wearing a Union Jack jacket for the anniversary celebrations, the model stood at the top of the open-top bus, which also featured her picture to the side, as it cruised through the capital.
