Your browser’s JavaScript is disabled and must be enabled to view the Muriaé Guide pages!

Almost all websites today contain JavaScript, a programming language that runs in the visitor’s browser. It makes pages work for specific purposes, and if they are disabled for any reason, the content or functionality of the page may be limited or unavailable. Here are instructions on how to enable (enable) JavaScript in the five most commonly used browsers.

Mozilla Firefox

  • In the address bar, type: about:config and press Enter.

  • Click “I’ll be careful, I promise!” when a warning message appears.

  • Look for javascript.enabled in the address bar

  • Invert the value of the javascript.enabled setting (rightclick and choose Invert Value or doubleclick the setting) to change the value from false to true.

  • Click the “Reload current page” button in the browser to refresh the page.

  • Internet Explorer

  • Click on the “Tools” icon in the browser and select “Internet Options”

  • In the Internet Options window, select the Security tab.

  • On the “Security” tab, click the “Custom Level…” button.

  • When the Security Settings Internet Zone dialog box opens, look for the Scripting section.

  • In the “Active Scripting” section, select “Activate”.

  • If the “Warning!” the question “Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?” appears, select “Yes”.

  • In the Internet Options window, click the OK button to close it.

  • Click the browser’s refresh button to refresh the page.

  • Internet Explorer < 9

  • From the browser menu, click Tools and select Internet Options.

  • In the Internet Options window, select the Security tab.

  • On the “Security” tab, click the “Custom Level…” button.

  • When the Security Settings Internet Zone dialog box opens, look for the Scripting section.

  • In the “Active Scripting” section, select “Activate”.

  • If the “Warning!” the question “Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?” appears, select “Yes”.

  • In the Internet Options window, click the OK button to close it.

  • Click the browser’s refresh button to refresh the page.

  • Google Chrome

  • From the browser menu, click Customize and control Google Chrome and select Settings.

  • In the “Settings” section, click “Show advanced settings…”.

  • Under “Privacy” click “Content Settings…”.

  • When the dialog box opens, look for the “JavaScript” section and check the “Allow all websites to run JavaScript (recommended)” option.

  • Click the “OK” button to close it.

  • Close the Settings tab.

  • Click the “Reload this page” button in the browser to refresh the page.

  • Opera

    • 1. a) Click “Menu”, hover over “Settings”, then hover over “Quick Settings” and check the “Enable JavaScript” box.
    • 1. b) When “Menu Bar” appears, click “Tools”, hover over “Quick Settings” and check the “Enable JavaScript” box.

    Apple Safari

  • Click on “Edit” in the browser menu and select “Preferences”.

  • In the Settings window, select the Security tab.

  • In the Web Content section of the Security tab, check the Enable JavaScript box.

  • Click the browser’s “Reload Current Page” button to refresh the page.
