NASCAR announced significant penalties to Brad Keselowski and Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing Thursday morning.
The penalty applies to the modification of a part supplied from a single source.

L2 Penalty
Sections 14.1 General C&D Rules for Complete Vehicles; 14.5 A&D Body Note: Modification of a single source part.
In addition, all L2 penalties discovered after the completion of the post-race check will result in penalty(s) based on the minimum penalty options, and finishing position in the race will not count towards playoff participation, playoff promotion, eligibility – Points events and tie-breaks.
The crew chief (Matt McCall) was fined $100,000 and suspended from the next four NASCAR Cup Series championship points tournament. The team was ranked with a loss of 100 owner points, 100 driver points, and 10 NASCAR playoff points.
