Bob Sagets widow dismissed claims that the comedian had deteriorated

Bob Saget’s widow dismissed claims that the comedian had “deteriorated hearing” and “had a sore throat.”

Bob Saget’s widow denied claims that her husband was unwell the night he died and supported the report that he died after a fall and hit his head.

“The tapes released tell the whole story – that is, Bob died after falling and hitting his head in his hotel room,” lawyer Brian H. Bieber told Page Six Thursday on behalf of Kelly Rizzo.

“Now that the medical examiner’s and police department’s documents have been made public after their thorough investigation, the Saget family would appreciate some privacy to mourn in peace.”

Rosalie Kochchi, 37, a Ponte Vedra concert hall employee who ran errands for the performers of the latest Full House comedy show, told Orange County, Florida police that Saget told her about his hearing with “unplugged.” and that he had “a sore throat” before taking the stage on 8 January.

Hours later, Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande.

Forensic experts believe he either fell and injured himself in his carpeted bedroom or marble-tiled bathroom.

There was no blood in the room or bathroom, and the headboard of his bed was soft, which led to incessant speculation about how exactly Saget managed to hurt himself so badly and in a way that ultimately killed him.

“He said his hearing was turned off and that was that night. He asked the sound engineers to make everything louder,” she told investigators, according to an audio recording of the interview released Wednesday by investigators.

‘As well as [he said] that he had been ill the night before—he had bad hearing and had a sore throat. He was happy that he had lollipops for the stage.”

But once he took the stage, she told police, the comedian “seemed fine” and “made jokes” during his two-hour performance.

Saget was found dead in room 963 of the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande at around 4:00 pm the next day. Earlier this week, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department released photos of the room.

He was last seen alive when he entered his room on the ninth floor of the hotel at 2:17 am on January 9, hung a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the doorknob and locked the door behind him, according to video footage from the hotel.

Saget’s autopsy report confirmed that the actor tested positive for COVID after his death. However, the diagnosis played no role in the actor’s sudden death, according to an autopsy report released last month by Orange County Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Stephanie.

The report notes that “no evidence of acute or chronic inflammation was found on microscopy.”

The backstage crew of his last performance at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Florida, told investigators that Saget told them he felt unwell.

She burst into tears when she said that he had no health problems.
