El Salvador has been participating in Expocomer since 2004 when it signed a free trade agreement with Panama, he clarified.

Bilateral exchanges reached 250 million dollars in 2021, he specified, predicting that this type of exhibition would take place in a convention center like the one in Amador, in the capital of the Isthmus, First World, and with the support of exhibitors from about 30 countries to five continents, will allow for an extension of this indicator.

Our country participates in Expocomer with companies whose strength lies in textiles, which account for more than 50 percent of our exports, he explained, but there are also those of beverages and food, plastics and pharmaceuticals, agribusiness and footwear, among others.

By reclaiming this land, he added, the prospects are great and we hope that our exports will continue to grow, which already represented a 30 percent boom in 2021 compared to the same previous phase.

Panama with Expocomer will undoubtedly become a window of visibility to the world of what we are doing and what needs to be done, he noted.

Also speaking in the Salvadoran pavilion was the representative of the Foreign Ministry of this Central American nation, Soraya Velázquez de Claro, Prensa Latina, who highlighted the Channel Country as an important market and platform for promoting foreign investment in her country.

Expocomer, he said, is also another opportunity to strengthen the ties of friendship that bind our two countries.

The forum “Business Expectations for Panama and the Region took place this Thursday at the Panama Fair; and the day before, with their project “Hospitalization at home 360 ​​degrees, they presented the National Prize for Innovation, which they had earned in the company Vitae Servicios 360, SA.

For 15 years, this recognition has been sponsored by the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation and the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
