Moscow, July 4.- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today the West is determined to continue the war in Ukraine but warned that sooner or later peace talks would resume on the basis of Russian terms.
The nations of the West, led by the United States, are now determined to continue the war and will not allow Ukrainians to talk, negotiate or even think about peace, Peskov stressed in an interview this Sunday was published by Kanal Rossiya 1.
European leaders, the Russian official pointed out, most of the time lacked the strength and sovereignty to be guided solely by their own interests.
Sometimes they get carried away by the tide and follow the collective West to the detriment of their own interests, Peskov added.
At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman was certain that common sense would prevail sooner rather than later.
We need to sit down again to negotiate, and when the time comes, Ukrainians need to re-appropriate and accept all our terms, concluded the spokesman of the Russian Presidency. (LP)
