The official website of “The Wendy Williams Show” does not seem to exist anymore. The series’ YouTube channel as well as the official Wendy Williams Productions websites and program are no longer accessible.
Searches for the channel via YouTube and various search engines return no results, potentially missing hundreds of hours of clips and features from the series.
More of diversity
Meanwhile, .com domains like wendywilliamsproductions and wendyshow, which previously hosted official resources for the production company and talk show, respectively, no longer link directly to their previous pages. Wendywilliamsproductions is listed as available under a Go Daddy auction while wendyshow shows a DNS error.
The reveal comes two weeks after The Wendy Williams Show aired the final episode of its 13 seasons. The daytime talk show had produced its final 2021-2022 season without its host due to Williams’ health issues.
The series ended June 17 with guest host Sherri Shepherd and a video montage celebrating Williams’ talk show run. Shepherd will host a new talk show called “Sherri” beginning in the 2022-2023 season. The programming is from Debmar-Mercury, the producer and distributor who was also behind Wendy Williams’ programming.
Williams’ absence this season has remained a mystery to her loyal fans. In March of that year, she was placed under financial guardianship and charged with misconduct by Wells Fargo.
Since the talk show ended, Williams has appeared in a video interview with TMZ to discuss her health and her ambitions to get into the podcast industry.
The publicist for Debmar-Mercury and Williams was not immediately available for comment on the series’ reduced web presence.
The story goes on
Speaking to Variety in May, Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus addressed the situation with Williams and said they would love to work with the host again.
“Aside from her health, she could have continued as long as she wanted. She still got ratings and she has a die-hard audience that has made it a profitable show,” Marcus said. “We protected the business while we waited for her. And at some point we had to say, ‘We have a business to run and she’s not here.’ It was a tough decision.”
