Fans throw bananas at the film’s screens.
Minions 2: Origin of Gru is the latest major release of the year to hit the cinema screens, but not everyone who will see the film is really interested in having and delivering a good cinematic experience, instead focusing more on making “funny videos” for TikTok make, playing bananas on the screen.
It all started, as expected, with a trend on the social network. While some accounts started the trend of watching the Minions movie with one tuxedo or long dress and looked the best, others found it more fun just to play bananas, the Minions’ favorite fruit on the screen.
Adding to even more problems for the cinema workers leaving a big mess on the screen, some cinemas are having to close and sessions are being suspended as a result as you can see in the video below:
According to the comic book, some people also screamed and clapped during the opening scene of Minions 2: Origin of Gru, not unlike any screening of SpiderMan: No Homecoming, threatened with eviction from the theater. However, the original tweet reporting the situation was deleted.
The origin of Gru is the second Minions film and fifth film in the Despicable Me franchise and it’s in theaters now.
