During the final broadcast of her Chiquis and Chill podcast, titled “Meet my assistant,” Chiquis Rivera publicly introduced the woman who guides her through virtually every aspect of her life: Noemí Valdivia. But he also remembered a few anecdotes from when his mother was alive and taught him everything a personal assistant should know.
“I always said I went to Jenni Rivera’s university. For a long time I was my mother’s personal assistant, doing everything from doing my hair, cleaning up, paying the bills, packing, unpacking, everything. My mum was hard to teach me but I learned a lot (…) A lot of times when I didn’t know how to do things my mum’s answer was just to find out and so I did. I learned from the best,” said the 36-year-old singer.
According to Chiquis, she took her role as La Diva de la Banda’s personal assistant so seriously that she was jealous of her when she stopped working for her and her mother hired another assistant with whom she worked until her death woman who replaced her.

“I was always very territorial and jealous of my mother and siblings. I made life difficult for Giulia, my mother’s assistant, and it’s not that she was a bad person or did her job poorly (…) She worked so passionately for my mother that after the Death of my mother never could work as an assistant again, another person,” the singer recalled at that time.
During the airing of her podcast, Chiquis expressed her gratitude to Noemí Valdivia, her personal assistant, who she also considers her friend. “It helps me with everything, it even reminds me to post on social media. When I had to have surgery, I took a bath, she did incredible things for me (…) I know that working for me is not easy, there is a lot to do, every day I have a huge list of tasks, but she is passionate about her work and I’m very grateful to have her,” Chiquis said of how important her assistant is in her life, to whom she tells “everything.”
According to Chiquis, she used the same method as her mother to teach her to be a good assistant. “I was tough, but I did it the best I could,” she explained after pointing out that they eventually took their time and stopped working together, but he missed her dearly. “It was good to have had this time, we both appreciate each other and today we have excellent communication, we don’t keep things to ourselves, if something bothers us, we say it and we solve it,” emphasized the artist.
