The Rocket Man celebrated his birthday on Friday and said he’s “not usually one to get nostalgic” but is excited to hit the milestone year.

Speaking of his day of celebrations, Elton said: “I will definitely find time today to take stock and thank my lucky stars for my wonderful family, friends and career.”
“I feel incredibly fortunate that at 75 I still love what I do – I’m still so energetic and excited to play, listen and talk about it every day,” he continued.
A slew of famous faces wished Elton a happy birthday, with David Walliams posting “Happy 75th Birthday to a Living Legend” on Instagram to accompany his story, while Victoria Beckham shared a throwback to the Spice Girls in celebration.

Elton’s tour will arrive in the UK in June after his North America leg of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road outing as he admits it’s a blast to be on the road.
He said: “The thrill of playing live is just as amazing as it was 50 years ago.”
The I’m Still Standing singer said he’s also looking forward to inspiring a new generation of artists, sharing, “I have so much to pass on to the new generation of fans and artists alike and I’m committed to continuing to give something back to the industry that has given me so much.”
