Meet Cameron Norrie’s girlfriend ahead of the Wimbledon semifinals

Although most eyes will be on Cameron Norrie on Friday when he meets Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon semifinals, the 26-year-old Brit is likely to share the limelight with a familiar face: girlfriend Louise Jacobi.

When Norrie defeated American Tommy Paul in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals on Sunday, Jacobi jumped up from her seat at the All England Club, catching the attention of viewers who were probably wondering who the excited spectator was in the bright pink ensemble was.

Jacobi – a native New Yorker currently based in London – is the founder and creative director of Please Don’t Touch, a Brooklyn-based interior and textile design firm with a high-end, luxurious aesthetic.

According to the company’s website, Jacobi oversees the entire creative process and strategy, which includes sourcing, development and production, as well as merchandising and sales. Jacobi’s company has a strong focus on designing luxury products for interior design brands and fashion houses, including Calvin Klein.

Jacobi is also co-founder of Studio Virgo, a luxury fashion and home accessories brand. According to LinkedIn, she has a bachelor’s degree in Textile, Graphic and Product Design and a Certificate in Textile and Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins London Arts.

Norrie and Jacobi are said to have been a couple for at least two years. Norrie posted photos with Jacobi on his Instagram from November 2019 – and the couple have pictures together in Monaco, New Zealand and Italy.

In January 2020, Jacobi described herself as an “intern” at the ASB Classic – New Zealand’s first tennis tournament – where she was admittedly “still figuring out the rules of tennis”.

Jacobi was also at the fore when Norrie became the first Brit to win the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California last October. After Georgia’s Norrie Nikoloz Basilashvili survived to take home the BNP Paribas Open men’s singles title, the pair shared a kiss as he accepted the top prize.

Norrie’s mother Helen has said that Jacobi is “calm with her,” adding, “I think she’s been good for him and they can talk about other things outside of court.”

In an interview with The Times, Norrie said he and Jacobi “get in a fight” when they cook together “because Louise always wants to follow recipes exactly, while I prefer to push it and experiment a bit.”

Advancing to Friday’s game, Norrie is now the fourth Briton to reach the semi-finals at Wimbledon in the Open era.
