After leaving TV, André Marques buys a BRL 280,000 pickup truck to travel around the country with his meat business

André Marques has already started to put the plans into action after leaving television after 27 years. The moderator will take a road trip across the country with his butcher shop.

The idea is to learn about new cultures and cuisines and to write content for the web. For this André has bought a Mitsubishi L200 Triton Sport pickup which costs around R$ 280,000 which will be part of the adventure. He even showed the new powerful on social networks, already with the logo of the meat boutique.

The 42yearold presenter owns two meat boutiques in Rio. He founded the company in 2013 in Barra da Tijuca and two years later expanded the business by opening another shop in Leblon in the South Zone, thus becoming a “businessman”.

The chic looking shops offer exotic meats as well as beer and wine. Founded in 2012 with partner Ricardo Baroni, the company has share capital of R$ 1.6 million.

André bids farewell to Globo on July 2nd when he leaves command of É de casa. On social networks, the presenter recalled the path that began with Mocotó in “Malhação” until switching to presenting programs.

“Growing up at Globo, making lifelong friends, having abdominal surgery, a big life change. I had a nice relationship with Globo. I’m just thankful. And that after almost 30 years of a happy, faithful and loving marriage.. we talked a lot and mutually decided to separate on paper (laughs)”, wrote André, mentioning the programs he had gone through:

“Unpretentious in everything, I started doing theater in 1992. In 1995 I joined ‘Malhação’. I stayed there for five years, but Mocotó, who changed my life, is with me to this day. Then I became a moderator and since 14 years was another milestone. , The “Video Show” and “It’s from Home”.

The artist said that he intends to turn other dreams into reality. “I will be my own boss,” he wrote. The change doesn’t mean he will end his relationship with TV Globo forever. As with other celebrities, contracts can be made through work.

“Now we will remain good friends, we may or may not stay sometimes. It’s an open relationship (laughs). But the fact of the matter is that my love, my respect and our history together will not erase anyone to continue with my old dream. It’s time to turn my projects and dreams into reality. I will be my own boss.”

André Marques hasn’t given many spoilers about what’s to come, but he has cited hints it has to do with his old dream of a cooking show.

“You know my passions: gastronomy, music and dogs. I will cook for this Brazil and the whole world and I will take you. As soon as I can I will tell you more details. First I’m going on vacation, okay?”.
