Chinese authorities today denied information about the suspected discovery of the second black box from flight MU5735, which crashed in the south of the country with 132 people on board, saying the search is continuing.
According to the command post of the rescue workers, the work continues and if the device is found, it will be announced at a press conference.
This body made the brief statement shortly after the CAAC Journal of the Civil Aviation Administration of China reported on the recovery of the black box in the disaster area on which the work is focused in the morning hours of this Friday at the precise point of autumn.
On Wednesday, rescuers found the first device and confirmed it was the cockpit voice recorder. Now investigators in Beijing are trying to decrypt its data, although the outer part was badly damaged.
After locating the exact spot where the ship crashed, rescuers collected more parts of the vehicle, pilots’ documents, personal belongings and human remains.
However, evidence was provided that at the time of the accident the weather conditions were normal, the nine crew members were in good health, the ship met safety requirements prior to launch, and communication with the control towers was maintained from takeoff to landing drops.
China Eastern Airlines MU 5735 crashed Monday in a mountainous area in southern Guangxi Zhang Autonomous Region en route from Kunming to Guangzhou.
