Do you know what is the most effective position to achieve female orgasm? A new study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine has uncovered the best sex position for women when it comes to achieving orgasm. Researchers looked at which position was most successful in stimulating blood flow to the clitoris. Can you imagine the winning position?

According to the New H Medical gynecology clinic in New York, the most effective position is the “mom and dad” position, which involves placing a pillow under the woman’s pelvis to make her body tilt more. Due to the inclination, the vagina region is more relaxed and open, which makes the act easier. Partners’ genitals are closer together, which means more clitoral stimulation. Penetration will also be deeper and the penis can reach parts of the vagina that it doesn’t normally reach. The information comes from the newspaper O globo.

The study was conducted with the researchers examining a few volunteers while they had sex in five popular positions for 10 minutes. Dr. Kimberley Lovie, a physician who led the study, wrote: “The purported benefits of various sexual positions are reported in numerous journals, books and public forums. However, there is little scientific research evaluating the association between different coital positions and their ability to induce female orgasm.”

The research aimed to compare clitoral blood flow before and after coitus in each of the five positions after a standardized period of time. The doctor also pointed out the less effective position. According to Lovie, “the kneeling/rear entry position creates the least direct contact with the clitoris and resulted in a negligible increase in blood flow compared to the facetoface positions,” she added.

The new research follows another study that looked at the female orgasm and found that “moaning” isn’t a part of it.

Researchers from the University of Ottawa examined various bodily sensations experienced during a female orgasm, including “rapid/shallow breathing”, “increased blood pressure” and “hot flashes”.

However, they also identified some commonly misunderstood sensations that, contrary to popular belief, do not exist.
