March Madness Live: College Basketball Scores, 2022 NCAA Tournament Bracket Updates for Sweet 16 Friday

Friday’s Sweet 16 playlist is all about the underdogs as the NCAA Tournament action continues with the last four regional semifinals before the Elite Eight kicks off on Saturday. At least one double-figure seed is guaranteed to come off Friday’s schedule, while one of the greatest NCAA tournament Cinderellas of all time could make them two.

The 15th-seeded St. Peters will play 3rd-seeded Purdue in the first game of the evening at 7:09 pm ET in the Eastern Region. The Peacocks charmed the entire nation last weekend with Kentucky and Murray State disappointments and are aiming to become the first No. 15 seed ever to reach the Elite Eight. No. 4 Providence is also an underdog early in the game as the Friars will play seed 1 Kansas at 7:29 p.m. in a contest that the Jayhawks can win by 7.5 points.

The nightcap is highlighted by the blue-blooded battle between UCLA’s No. 4 seed and North Carolina’s No. 8 seed. While it’s odd to think of the Tar Heels as a Cinderella team, they fit the bill after a tough regular season. Finally, the action closes with No. 10 seed Miami playing No. 11 seed Iowa State. The Hurricanes are aiming for their first Elite Eight appearance, while Iowa State looks to continue its remarkable turnaround after winning just two games last season.

CBS Sports will be updating this story with the latest news from every Sweet 16 game on Friday. Continue scrolling through the schedule below for live scores, analysis and highlights updates throughout the evening as we follow the chaos of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
