Beckett’s awakening and funeral will take place at St. Vincent de Paul in Albany on Friday from 15:00 to 16:00, and the funeral will follow on Saturday.

The 25-year-old revealed that he is battling cancer in December 2020.

“I have a large primary tumor in the mediastinum (chest), as well as nodules dotted around my lungs,” he wrote on Facebook. “I was lucky to be able to start chemotherapy within a week of my diagnosis, and the four cycles of chemotherapy I did initially were successful.”

He then announced that he would have to undergo “extensive surgery to remove the mediastinal mass” and undergo stem cell transplants.

“A lot of lesions were found to have spread to my brain,” he wrote at the time. “Many doctors said I was lucky enough to catch the disease early, and although there is no concrete evidence of what caused the pain to take me to the emergency room, I think it was my” again and again “relationship with running. Just before I was diagnosed, I ran up to six miles a day, and I believe that worsened my lungs enough to cause pain.

He was treated at the Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.
