And the actor hinted at Gavin and Stacey’s potential return when he admitted he would have “more free time” if he returned to the UK next year.

Speaking at London’s Freemasons Hall recently, James said he trusts the “judgment” of series co-creator Ruth Jones as to whether or when the sitcom will make a comeback.

According to The Sun, James said: “Ruth’s judgment is always spot on, she’s such an incredible judge and she will instinctively know when it’s right.

“And look, I’ll have a little more free time, maybe that’s the time to get together and talk about something.

“But I trust their judgment so much that if it’s right, we will do it.”
