So the love Pete Davidson has for Kim Kardashian is the kind that gets permanently inked on your body. Actually, it is of the kind that gets permanently inked on your body a few times.
Kim opened up about Pete’s numerous tribute tattoos during a recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, even going so far as to state which of his Kim-centric tattoos is her personal favorite.
“He’s got some tattoos. Some sweets he got. I think my favorite tattoo, it says here,” she said while pointing to her collarbone, “‘My girl is a lawyer.’ And that’s really sweet.”
If just reading these words has got your imagination going wild, don’t worry because Kim is here for you. On Saturday, she casually posted a picture of Pete’s proud-of-his-girl collarbone ink to her Instagram story, and it’s exactly as described:
Recently, fans got a glimpse of what appeared to be a tattoo of Kim’s name on Pete’s chest, but she clarified during her chat with Ellen that there’s actually no ink involved in this particular honor that’s branding (yes, than permanently marking the skin by burning it with hot metal).
“Kim’s isn’t a tattoo. It’s actually branding. Like… branding,” she explained. “He wanted to do something that was really different.”
What yes. Mission accomplished Pete. So why get Kim’s name etched into his skin instead of inked? Because apparently he never, ever wants to get rid of it.
“I just think he said, ‘I want something that’s there that I can’t get rid of,'” Kim added of Pete’s decision to brand his skin with her name. “Because he’s in the process of getting rid of his arm tattoos and neck tattoos. So he says, ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or be able to cover it up, and I just wanted it that way, there’s kind of a scar.'”
