Watch Encanto Oscars 2022 Performance: We Don’t Talk About Bruno [VIDEO]

Hell, everyone was talking (and singing) about Bruno at the Oscars on Sunday.

The cast of Disney’s Encanto – Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Diane Guerrero (Doom Patrol), reggaeton singer Adassa and Colombian musicians Carolina Gaitán and Mauro Castillo – took the stage at the 94th Academy Awards for the first-ever televised performance of the hit movie “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”.

They were joined by Becky G, Luis Fonsi and Megan Thee Stallion, who guaranteed this song to stay on the charts even longer by adding a rap to the mix.

Check out footage of the performance below, which we will update with the official video if/when it becomes available:

Encanto entered Sunday’s ceremony with three nominations: Best Animated Feature Film, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song for the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned folk track “Dos Oruguitas.”

Unfortunately, Miranda was unable to attend the Oscars as his wife tested positive for COVID. “Made it into Hollywood,” Miranda tweeted Saturday. “This weekend my wife tested for COVID. She is fine. children [and] I tested [negative], but out of caution I’m not going to the Oscars tomorrow night. cheers for mine [tick, tick…BOOM! and] Encanto families [with] my own family, besides all of you, ALL.”

The performance was introduced by performer John Leguizamo, who pretended to be offended that he wasn’t asked to perform … until he remembered he didn’t sing.

Of course, this was just one of many lively performances at this year’s Oscars. Others included Beyoncé, who performed King Richard’s “Be Alive,” Sebastián Yatra, who sang Encanto’s “Dos Oruguitas,” Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, who teamed up for No Time to Die’s “No Time to Die,” and Reba McEntire who served “Somehow You Do”. from Four Good Days.
