Actor “Say hello to your shorts” Kirk Bailey has died at the age of 59 after a battle with lung cancer.
Bailey’s family told TMZ that the actor died of the disease over the weekend, just six months after his diagnosis.
Bailey played the famous role of camp counselor Kevin ‘Ug’ Lee in the hit Nickelodeon Salute Your Shorts from 1991 to 1992, and also has roles in 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and The Sixth Man.

According to TMZ, Bailey was studying comedy when he was just starting his acting career in Groundlings and Second City.
He worked as a sound coordinator in the 1988 film Killer Klowns from Outer Space, before being cast in “Say hello to your shorts” and others.
Bailey also had credits on the hugely popular television shows Melrose Place and Felicity.
In addition to her career in front of the camera, Bailey has also enjoyed a successful career in vocal roles with roles in a number of anime shows, including Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Carried by the Wind: Tsukikage Ran and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
Bailey’s family told TMZ that the actor contracted the disease over the weekend, just six months after his diagnosis.
