Ousted CNN host Chris Cuomo says America will see him chart a “very different course” in his free-running new podcast and YouTube show.
Cuomo, 51, urged “free agents” to “ride along” in an Instagram post teasing his new media venture, The Chris Cuomo Project.
The podcast is Cuomo’s opportunity to “defecate,” insiders claim, in a “proposal move” against his former employer.
However, it feels more like an attempted copy of the hit podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, in which the comedian discusses controversial topics, politics, and current events with a variety of guests.
CNN fired Cuomo last December after he was caught counseling his scandal-plagued brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, on allegations of sexual misconduct while holding on to his place as the network’s top anchor.
The former talk show host began teasing his career comeback earlier this month, renaming himself a “free agent” last week while reporting from Ukraine.

Cuomo is recruiting free agents to appear as guests on his new show, which will be streamed digitally on his website and YouTube channel.
“He’ll find guests who are also ‘free agents’ and have carved their own way to express his concept,” a source familiar with the show told Page Six.

“Chris is loaded so he’s going to get it right,” the insider added.
“And he’s not doing it to make money, he’s doing it to get his voice out there again.”
The source claimed the Chris Cuomo project was the ousted host’s way of getting revenge on CNN for firing him.
Cuomo was pushed out for his involvement in his brother’s scandal and then accused of trying to destroy the network by exposing an affair between then-boss Jeff Zucker and his assistant Allison Gollust.
The insider claims the show is an “act of defiance” against CNN – the Cuomo company, which was hit with an arbitration lawsuit in March.
He is demanding $125 million from the outlet for allegedly “damaging his reputation.”
Sources claim Cuomo can work on his podcast while the arbitration proceeds because he is no longer under contract with CNN.
Cuomo has posted several short videos to Instagram to build hype around the project, which is set to release sometime this summer.

“Calling to all free agents: We’re getting closer!” He captioned the clip, which was shared two days ago.
In his latest clip, Cuomo shows off his home recording studio and says he’s “back in the saddle.”
“Very different horse…Very different course…” he said, adding, “All free agents are welcome to join the ride.”
Meanwhile, Cuomo sells “Free Agent” merchandise, which he says goes to charity. It’s unclear what exactly the proceeds will benefit.

The promos come about a week after the former TV host took to Instagram to tell America to “pay more attention” to events in Ukraine.
“What is happening in Ukraine right now is terrible and America should pay much more attention,” he said, reporting from the war-torn nation.
‘I went to the Eastern Front… Undermanned and outgunned, we had to hide behind abandoned buildings.’
Cuomo likened the conflict to “World War II” and compared Ukrainians to Americans fighting in the Revolutionary War.
“Ukrainians sound like Americans 240 years ago compared to Brits. They give their lives to protect the freedoms we have here.
“Interest here has waned… the war is only accelerating. I’ll show you more to worry about… soon. Thank you for the interest.’
He then instructed his followers to be “a #freeagent” like him.

The video carousel garnered nearly 14,000 likes on Instagram in the hours after it was posted — a far cry from the 750,000 viewers he routinely drew with his prime-time CNN show.
In his first video, Cuomo filmed himself wearing an army helmet and sunglasses.
“We’re on the side of this building because the artillery came by here on the other side and they’re literally standing where they are because it’s safe and if they step out they have to worry about something hitting.” and explodes That hole right there, that’s the nature of this war.’
In another film, he films his team walking through an abandoned town and says, “That was the last shelling, that was seven days ago.
“It’s pretty deserted. We keep that distance under fire so if one hits, not everyone gets hit.’
Cuomo urged his supporters to pay more attention to the war in Ukraine, which he compared to World War II and the Revolutionary War. He shared several videos from the scene of Ukrainian fighters and foreign journalists. In another video, Cuomo shows a Ukrainian tank and gets instructions from a soldier on how to use it. In others, a European journalist explains to him how the Russians are shooting at them with prohibited weapons

He also filmed in front of a pile of unused grain and said to the camera: “We are talking about the Ukrainian grain problem and that they cannot export at the moment.

“The Russians destroyed it. The soldiers say their motto is, “If they can’t have it, nobody can.”
It’s unclear who he was traveling with or who is paying the bill.
The week before, Cuomo said he traveled to the region with his “brother” Sean Penn, who is filming a documentary there.
