A car was “plucked” at dawn this Thursday (21st) in Boa Viagem, in the south zone of Recife. Videos sent to WhatsApp show thieves immediately stealing the four wheels of the vehicle parked in front of a private school. “Nocturnal feeling of insecurity,” said the car’s owner, Professor Adriano Moura (see video above).
According to the civil police, this was not the only crime of this type in the early hours of this Thursday. Other cases were rescued in the West Zone of the capital and in Jaboatão dos Guararapes in the metropolitan area.

Surveillance cameras captured the moment the bandits crouched next to the car on Ministro Nélson Hungria Street.
One of them removed one of the wheels and put it in a car parked in front. The other man continued trying to remove the other tire.
In the video, a man told what happened. “Look what they did to this citizen’s car this morning. For heaven’s sake, they went naked, took all the tires with them.”

In conversation with tv globe, This Thursday Adriano Moura said that the car was in front of the house. “I checked out of the garage and when I arrived I noticed that all four wheels had been removed from the car. I called the insurance company,” he said.
Moura added that he went to work and then took action. “On the way back, I went to file the incident report,” he said.
The professor said that residents on the street are unsafe and there have been multiple reports of crimes of the same nature and of different forms.

“They tried to open my car the other night I was sleeping outside. They took both license plates, probably to do clones, get out of the bank or something,” he explained.
Moura also said a neighbor reported that her car was also stolen. They took the sound system with them. “It’s nothing new,” he said.
The case is being investigated by Boa Viagem Police Station. MP Alessandro Orico explained that this was the first crime of this kind since March.
“The same morning there was a tape of this crime committed by this duo. We identify at least two but there may be more who were in the car providing support.”
The police officer also said that this morning this couple also traded in the Jardim São Paulo neighborhood in the capital, as well as in Candeias and Piedade in Jaboatão.
“The investigations are still ongoing. We need to see if there is a case to order this type of material,” he said.
