The victim
The victim was called Klil Kimhi’s body was found about four hours later in a tunnel several meters deep.
The 34-year-old man was injured and was able to get out of the swimming pool in time and was rescued and treated on site by paramedics with a slight trauma.

Search teams from the city of Karmei Yosef found the body after a complex rescue operation due to the risks of a secondary collapse that required the use of cameras attached to operators’ helmets as they were lowered underground.
To prevent the pool from collapsing permanently, the rescuers built a support structure.
“At the end of the operational searches, the police, the fire and rescue services and the IDF Homefront Command identified the missing man, a man of about 30 years old, living in Tel Aviv and sadly deceased,” Israel Police said in a note.
