(CNN) — Ryan Reynolds thinks Disney should reconsider classifying some of its classic films as irreversible trauma.

Disney+ announced on Thursday that the Marvel films Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Logan will soon be available on the service with an Adult or R rating in the United States. And Reynolds bringing Deadpool to life couldn’t help it Split what he thought of the decision.

“We are to announce that Logan and Deadpool will soon be the first R-rated movies on Disney+. But we all know that some Disney movies should already be R-rated because of irreversible trauma,” Reynolds wrote on Twitter.

And what kind of films would that be?

The Lion King, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Old Yeller and Bambi were some of the Disney hits Ryan Reynolds suggested for a re-evaluation.

In the case of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Reynolds said this 1937 animated classic should be rated RA because it “trespassed, borderline polyandry, [y estoy] I’m pretty sure these diamonds aren’t cruelty-free.”

He also tweeted that Old Yeller was on his list because the movie made him “rip the hell apart.” His additional justification mentioned the “direct murder of Old Yeller. Plus bear abuse.”

Reynolds joked that The Lion King is full of “fratricides, mutilations, possibly half-sibling love or at least cousin kissing. Serious.”

As for Bambi, the “cold blood murder of an innocent mother deer that will cause lifelong trauma,” he wrote.

Disney+ has yet to respond to Reynolds’ (jokingly) suggestions. But in a press release announcing Marvel’s new additions on Friday, the company encouraged subscribers to review their parental controls settings “to ensure a more appropriate viewing experience for themselves and their families.”
