Young emerging talents and deans of Italian songs, from rock to indie, together for an evening where notes and voices are the protagonists. This is the special that the XXXIII. th edition of Musicultura, the festival of folk and author songs that will be broadcast on Rai 2 and RaiPlay on Friday 22 July at 11:50 p.m. Veronica Maya and Enrico Ruggeri direct the show by the Sferisterio di Macerata, the evocative neoclassical arena symbol of the city and Marche.
On stage, live performances by Litfiba, Angelo Branduardi, Emiliana Torrini & The Colorist Orchestra, Ditonellapiaga, Gianluca Grignani and by Ruggeri himself. Also present are the protagonists of the young artists of the competition: Emit (Lodi) with “Vino”, Malvax (Modena) with “Esci col cane”, TheMorbelli (Alessandria) with “Il giardino dei Finzi Contini”, Yosh Whale (Salerno) with “Useless”.
“The presence of Rai2 as a television partner, similar to that of Rai Radio 1 as official radio, pleases us and seems to us to be a positive signal. The Musicultura Festival is one of the most important events dedicated to the artistic expression of folk and author songs. Since 1990, it has been working to encourage generational renewal in the name of quality, while keeping open and alive the comparison with the artistic heritage of excellence of our song.
Gianmaria Testa, Pacifico, Fabio Ilacqua, Simone Cristicchi, Mirkoeilcane, Mannarino, The Lista Representative are some of the artists who have passed the prestigious competition with which Musicultura collects and evaluates the creative aspirations of thousands of young people every year. An artistic guarantee committee is also involved in the selection, which in this XXXIII. Edition composed of Francesca Archibugi, Enzo Avitabile, Claudio Baglioni, Diego Bianchi, Francesco Bianconi, Maria Grazia Calandrone, Luca Carboni, Alessandro Carrera, Guido Catalano, Ennio Cavalli and Carmen Consoli , Simone Cristicchi, Gaetano Curreri, Teresa De Sio, Niccolò Fabi, Giorgia, The List Representative, Dacia Maraini, Mariella Nava, Antonio Rezza, Vasco Rossi, Ron, Enrico Ruggeri, Tosca, Paola Turci, Roberto Vecchioni, Sandro Veronesi. At the end of a long selection process, the vote of the audience present at the Sferisterio in Macerata chooses the overall winner of the competition.
