According to TMZ, chaos followed kids skirt has canceled his appearance at the North Dakota State Fair on Friday (July 22), citing concerns about weather conditions.
The decision to cancel the show was made around 10:30 p.m., at which time Ward was the county sheriff Bob Roed onto the stage to tell the approximately 18,000 fans that the show would not go on.
KFYR reported that some fans who had been waiting for hours for the performance started throwing bottles out of frustration, with one guy climbing onto the stage and striking a threatening stance before security guards attacked him.
Another man was handcuffed and taken away by police. Eventually the crowd began to disperse.
Earlier in the night, opening act NIGHT GUARD played an extended set at the event.
kids skirt later took to his Twitter to express his disappointment at not being able to play the show by writing, “SO FUCKED we couldn’t play to a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (due to high winds) – I know it sucks but none of us can control mother nature. Please be safe and take care of each other.
That North Dakota State Fair also released a statement canceling the performance.
“Due to safety concerns over the strong winds, lightning and severe weather in the area, the kids skirt The concert had to be cancelled,” the statement said. “That North Dakota State Fair will issue refunds to all ticket purchasers.”
A tornado warning went into effect in some northern counties of North Dakota during the 9 a.m. hour, and there were reports of wind damage north of Minot around the time of the scheduled concert.
A number of angry fans posted comments on social media, noting that the carnival rides weren’t canceled because of the weather and such NIGHT GUARD still played.

People reported that they waited more than 90 minutes before suddenly learning that the show would not go ahead.
