Ricky Martin performs at the Hollywood Bowl… after winning his nephew’s legal battle

Ricky Martin gave a celebratory performance with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl.

The 50-year-old Puerto Rican singer made his first public appearance following his recent win in court against his 21-year-old nephew, who accused the actor of having a sexual relationship with him and stalking him.

Ricky took the stage and asked the crowd, “Are you guys really having a good time? All I want is for you to forget all your problems tonight and just focus on love and light and just have a good time. Are you ready to have a good time in Los Angeles?’

However, he didn’t directly address the allegations or Thursday’s court hearing, in which a judge dismissed the case and injunction against the songwriter after his nephew suddenly dropped the claims.

Ricky is hosting a two-day concert event through July 23, and despite recent allegations, a large crowd turned out to support the singer.

The case came to light on July 1 when a judge issued a restraining order against the Livin’ La Vida Loca hitmaker.

The Grammy winner denied all claims against him, according to TMZ, with his attorneys saying his nephew suffered from mental health issues.

After his nephew withdrew his claims, the singer’s legal team told Entertainment Magazine in a statement, “As we expected, the court did not extend the restraining order.”

“The prosecutor confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the case was his alone and without outside influence or pressure,” the statement said.

When the lawsuits were dropped and the case dismissed by the judge, Ricky sat down in a video provided to TMZ with a chance to finally speak.

“I wasn’t allowed to defend myself for two weeks because I was following a procedure where the law required me not to speak until I was before the judge,” he explained.

“It was so painful,” Ricky said. “It was devastating for me, for my family, for my friends.”

He then addressed his words to his ‘accuser’ and expressed: ‘I wish him the best and I wish that he finds help so that he can start a new life full of love, truth and joy and not hurt anyone else.’

According to People, the star’s legal team also released a statement to the publication, which said, “This has never been more than a troubled person with absolutely nothing to back false allegations.”

‘We are glad that justice has been done for our client and that he can now move forward in his life and career.’

Ricky’s husband, Jwan Yosef, also took the time to comment after the case was dropped.

The painter uploaded a post to his main Instagram page where he shares an older selfie of the singer and himself.

He included a sweet and short caption and expressed his excitement at Ricky being cleared of false claims. “Truth wins,” he typed, adding a red heart emoji at the end.
