An American woman woke up after two years in a coma and accused her brother of attempted murder. The latter, who was arrested and charged, died on Thursday.
Daniel J. Palmer III was 55 years old. Last week, this Virginia American was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of his sister. Testimony confirmed by a witness who said at the time that he saw the suspect near the American’s home the day before his body was discovered. “He was considered a person of interest at the beginning of the investigation, but we didn’t have enough evidence against him to move forward. She could say a word or two, but she could positively identify her brother and confirm his name. She was able to describe in a simple way how she was attacked and hurt,” he commented. “It has allowed us to finally move forward with the solution,” he added.

But seven days after his arrest, the suspect died as a result of an “avalanche of recurring health problems”. “He was not a healthy man to begin with and when he got to jail his health continued to deteriorate.” The sheriff regrets that he did not have the investigative opportunity to fully complete this file. But he said he was content to know Wanda Palmer could be heard “by everyone”. Daniel Palmer was held on $500,000 bail.
