90210 star Matt Lanter has to undergo emergency surgery as his wife Angela says he’s “still having an uphill battle” and will need to stay in hospital “a little while longer”.
Matt Lanter underwent emergency surgery this week and his wife Angela took to Instagram on Sunday to update everyone on his condition.
The YouTuber, 37, posted a photo of her hand holding that of the 38-year-old actor. A medical bracelet was clearly visible around his wrist.
“This week was the scariest of my life,” Angela commented on the black and white picture. “My husband has been through the ER since Tuesday and underwent emergency surgery on Thursday. Luckily he has started to turn the corner and is slowly on the road to recovery.

She added: “Thank you all for your prayers, love and support. We are so grateful to the amazing nurses, they are the real heroes [red heart emoji]. We’re still having an uphill battle and will be staying in the hospital for a while, so prayers are definitely still appreciated.
Lanter, better known by her YouTube handle Angela Stacy, didn’t specify exactly what her husband was suffering from in her social media post.
Some of the internet personality’s 342,000 fans offered their well wishes and support in the comments, including several of Lanter’s famous friends.

Matt’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars co-star Ashley Eckstein left a comment that read, “Sending all my love and prayers to you, Matt and your family! [prayer hand’s emoji and red heart emoji.]
Beauty influencer Sazan, who has more than 1.2 million Instagram followers, wrote: “Oh no!!! I am praying for Matt and for you and the family [red heart emoji] You are on our minds, I love you!’
Melissa Ordway, whose character in 90210 had an affair with Matt Lanter’s Liam Court, continued the theme of prayers, writing: “We will continue to pray [red heart emoji].’

Lanter is best known for playing Liam Court in the Beverly Hills spin-off 90210, which ran from 2008 to 2013. He appeared as Court in 98 episodes.
More recently, the actor co-starred with Josh Duhamel in the Netflix series Jupiter’s Legacy, which was canceled last year after just eight episodes.
