The popular “Tumbao” was one of the most outstanding volleyball players at the 2010 Women’s Volleyball World Championship in Japan. “I’m excited because it was very emotional to see this coliseum full of Peruvians and to hear the national anthem. Despite the power outage, people in the stands started singing and encouraging us more. Never before have there been so many Peruvians in a Colosseum. This is my first World Championship and I’m very excited,” Uceda said at the time.
