A fouryearold Ukrainian boy who fled Kyiv has disappeared in Cagliari. “We help mothers to spread the appeal to expand and strengthen research” is the appeal launched by the Union of Citizens of the World Odv of Cagliari.
The news was also confirmed by Ukraine’s Honorary Consul in Sardinia, Anthony Grande, who heard directly from the child’s mother, Ms. Anna, and the family friend who is acting as an interpreter for the Italian, Ms. Cristina.
“The name of the missing child is Alexander (Sasha) Zdanovich Yahno, he is 4 years old and was born on March 4, 2018. Height approx. 110 cm, brown eyes, brown hair and a bob cut, continues the association, which translated the call from Ukrainian.
Alexander disappeared on March 10 when he, along with his grandmother and six other people and two dogs, fled the Kyiv region and crossed the Dnieper River on a boat. “Unfortunately according to the association the grandmother was found dead, and the boat was also found. The child was the only one wearing a life jacket.”
Consul Anthony Grande confirms that there have already been some reports, unfortunately without results. Furthermore, there is no clear evidence as to whether the child is still on Ukrainian territory or whether she has already been taken abroad to safety.
