Apex Legends is finally going into the next generation. in the A tweet posted on March 29th, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts confirm that Battle Royale will receive an update for the PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles as part of the Warriors Collectible Event. The mission is scheduled for March 29th.

Switch from the Xbox One version to the Xbox Series

Thanks to Smart Delivery technology, everything runs automatically on Xbox. In short, if you already have the Xbox One version of Apex Legends installed on your Xbox Series S or your Xbox Series X, the update will download itself. “Regardless of generation, the best version on your console is automatically offered – you don’t have to do anything,” explains the Respawn Entertainment tweet.

Switch from the PS4 version to PS5

Nothing is automatic on PlayStation 5, however. You need to make sure you follow several steps:

• Go to the game icon that appears on the home screen (if the PS4 version is installed on your PS5);
• Next to “Play Game” is an icon with three small dots. Click on it and then click “Select Version” to start downloading the PS5 version;
• Delete the PS4 version (once the PS5 version is installed).

Of course, if the PS4 version is not installed on your PS5, you can download the PS5 version directly.
